In case you have a domain name and a hosting package for it, you’ll be able to create email accounts for personal or commercial purposes and to set them up with email clients such as Apple Mail, Thunderbird or Outlook. In the meantime, you will be able to choose one of the two popular email retrieval protocols – IMAP or POP3. The first protocol will allow you to access all email messages, but they will stay on the email server, while with the second protocol, all email messages will be downloaded to the device where the mailbox is configured, unless you specifically select a copy to be kept on the server. In this way, you can choose if you want all your electronic communication to be kept on a single device, or if you would rather be able to see the emails from multiple locations. The latter option is extremely convenient for firms where a number of people working on different machines need to have access to a given email account.

POP3 IMAP E-mail Accounts in Cloud Hosting

You will be able to use any email client and any desktop or mobile device to view your emails if you get one of our cloud hosting. Our email servers support both protocols (IMAP and POP3), so you can choose the one that meets your interests – you can download all emails onto your personal computer or you can leave the messages on the email server in case you are running a firm and different people need to get access to them, for instance. You can even download a configuration file for a specific mailbox for any of the three most widely used desktop email clients – Thunderbird, Outlook and Apple Mail. You will just have to run the file on your PC and that mailbox will be automatically set up. In case you wish to use your smartphone, we have included comprehensive tutorials on how to set up an email account on an Android- or an iOS-powered device.

POP3 IMAP E-mail Accounts in Semi-dedicated Servers

You can choose between the IMAP and the POP3 email delivery protocols if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. We support both of them, so you can decide what to do with your emails – to save them to your PC or to leave them on the email server and to access them from multiple devices. The second option will also enable different people to check the exact same mailbox – if you’re hosting a company web site on our semi-dedicated servers, for example. You can find auto-config files in the Email Manager section of our Hepsia Control Panel, which will enable you to set up everything automatically in a program of your choosing – Apple Mail, Thunderbird or Outlook, so you won’t have to tweak any settings manually. If you’ve got a mobile phone, you can add any email account just as easily – just follow our comprehensive tutorials for Android and iPhone. To make things even simpler, our educational articles include step-by-step screen-caps.
